Super PAPA

They say that if you have a hardworking, loving and caring father, you are very blessed. And I believe in them because I, myself has a hardworking father. He works hard so he can earn enough money for our food, needs and even he can send us to school. We can see and feel how he loves us because he himself send and fetch us from school. He is also a protective father. He won’t let us so out at night because something bad might happen at outside. He will do everything just to make us happy. My father is a double-purpose dad. There was a time when he act as my father and at the same time as my mother. That was two years ago when my mother and younger sister went to Manila and stayed there for two months. I and my brother were left together with our father. Since my mom and sister’s vacation took a long time, my father was the one who cooked for us, ironed our school uniforms and washed our clothes. Even though he’s so tired from his work as a security guard and as a part-time tricycle driver, he would still do the house chores. He’s not just an ordinary dad but he’s an extraordinary papa. My father is very sweet. Every time he went home from work, he would bring a lot of “pasalubong”. He is also the kind of father who will lead his family to go to church and worship the true God. He taught us about the good news which is the bible. He always reminds us to pray to Go whenever problems arose. My father cares for us so much. Back when I was still five years old, my mom and little brother went to Koronadal for vacation and I and my father were left at home. I was crying that time because I want to go there too. My dad had no choice but to send me there. Since we don’t have a car that time, we need to ride a bus. My father would lift me and said, “Wag ka nang umiyak, nak.” (Don’t cry, my child.) He will do anything just to make me smile. My father is not just a loving dad but he is also the best husband in the world. He treats my mom as if she’s the last woman on earth. My mom is lucky for having a husband like him. There were times when I get scolded by my dad because I was so stubborn. He will always say I should take good care of myself because he’s not always at my side. He protects us from bad people and kept us away from danger. He even sing lullabies when we can’t sleep. Sometimes, we sing together and he is fond of cracking jokes. He also loves cooking. Every afternoon, we bought merienda and we talked about tings that had happened that day. We considered our father as the “SUPER PAPA” of our lives.
